Pinckneyville re-opens summer workouts, activities after taking precautionary shutdown last week

Sunday night Pinckneyville Athletic Director Bob Waggoner announced on Twitter that the Panthers would get back to work following a pause to athletics that began last Wednesday night under the direction of the Perry County Health Department as the school waited on COVID-19 test results.
The announcement came a night before the IHSA announced that their Phase 4 Return to Play Guidelines had been updated by IDPH and the Governor’s Office.
“After taking last week to re-evaluate the Phase 4 Return to Play Guidelines, we are excited to announce that PCHS will resume activities this week,” Waggoner said in a tweet. “Coaches will be in contact with groups for times and locations. PCHS is encouraging as much outside activity as possible.”
