One arrested after shots fired at Carbondale residence

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — A Carbondale man has been arrested for firing shots at a home in Carbondale.
According to Carbondale Police, Thomas Hudson, 56,  fired the shots at about 2:50 p.m. Monday at a home in the 300 block of West Cherry Street. Police say Hudson then fled the area on a bicycle.
Officers were able to locate Hudson shortly thereafter. After initially refusing to comply with the officer’s commands, Hudson was taken into custody without further incident. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail. He faces charges of  Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, No Firearm Owner’s Identification Card, and Resisting a Peace Officer.
