John A. Logan men’s basketball guard Julian Norris Jr. and center Elliot Lowndes received All-Region 24 honors following the conclusion of the Region Tournament.
Norris, the Vols point guard, averaged 15.0 points this season and had a 36 point outing on Tuesday’s win over Lake Land College in the Region Tournament quarterfinals. Norris also averaged 2.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.9 steals. He shot 46.4% from the field this year and 40.4% from the beyond the arc.
Lowndes, a Cobden native and the only returning Vol who played significant time on last year’s NJCAA championship team, averaged 10.6 points this season. He played in 30 games, starting 25 of them. He shot 56.9% from the field. He averaged 7.5 rebounds, 2.1 offensive boards, 3.5 blocks, and 0.9 steals.
