Wednesday night, Saluki guard Trey Miller announced he is pulling his name out of the NCAA’s Transfer Portal.
I have decided to withdraw my name from the portal and come back for another year at SIU. I’m very excited to work with Coach Nagy and the rest of the coaching staff. Looking forward to this next season. #GoDawgs @SIU_Basketball @CoachNagy @SIU_DawgPound @Dawgs_MBB

Miller decided to enter the transfer portal on March 26, just two days before new men’s basketball coach Scott Nagy was announced.
The sophomore guard saw limited action this past season, playing in 24 games and averaging 7.3 minutes per game. He averaged 1.1 points and 1.0 assists this past season.
Miller transferred to SIU from Incarnate Word last offseason. At Incarnate Word, Miller started 28 games and averaged 10.4 points for the Cardinals as a true freshman.
Miller’s return means the Salukis have two players definitely returning for the 2024-25 campaign with Sheridan Sharp never entering his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason. The Salukis also received a commitment from 3-star center Jaheem Webber earlier this morning.
