MOUNT VERNON, Ill. (WJPF) – A Mount Vernon man has been arrested for child pornography and sexual abuse.
33 year old Christopher Milburn was arrested at his home on the morning of September 18th for an active warrant charging Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and 5 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
The arrest came after an investigation into a cybertip report in May, then a search warrant of his residence in August.
The investigation also revealed Milburn worked at Mt. Vernon Township High School in 2013, was 22 years old at that time, and had inappropriate sexual contact with a 14-year-old student.
Milburn was taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he awaits his pre-trial detention hearing.
