MARION, Ill. (WJPF) – A Marion man has been sentenced for child pornography.
36 year old Michael Mitchell pleaded guilty in May to two counts of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
The arrest comes after federal law enforcement received a tip and a search of Mitchell’s phone resulted in eight items of child sexual abuse material.
Mitchell will serve eight years in prison along with five years of mandatory supervised release.
