CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man has been killed in a traffic accident blamed on winter road conditions.
Rex Aldridge, 66, lost control of his pickup around 5:30 pm Monday when he encountered an icy patch on a bridge along Giant City Road .
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says Aldridge’s truck skidded into a ditch. Aldridge was ejected from the truck and died from his injuries at a local hospital.
