WEST CITY, Ill. (WJPF) – Police in Franklin County are investigating a retail robbery.
Around 9:20 p.m. Friday, thieves targeted the jewelry department of the West City Walmart.
Police say three men walked into the store and one of them used a tool to break into a locked case. The value of the merchandise taken was not disclosed.
The suspects were last seen leaving the store in an older model white Jeep Grand Cherokee with possible damage to the rear passenger side. They sped off southbound on Interstate 57.
