HERRIN, Ill. (WJPF) – Police in Herrin are trying to reunite property damaged by cemetery vandals with the rightful owners.
Things like vases, flower arrangements, and grave decorations were scattered across the San Carlo Cemetery earlier this month. A number of gravestones were also damaged, some over 100 years old.
The Herrin Police Department has posted photos of the recovered property on it’s Facebook page.
The vandals have not been caught.
