SIU men’s basketball made a few big splashes on Thursday.
The Salukis made a big splash from the postgrad scene. 6’4 freshman guard Jalen Haynes from Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas. The Salukis beat out Missouri Valley powerhouse Drake for the commitment.
The Dawgs also announced the transfer of Quel’Ron House, a transfer from Jacksonville State making it official. The Salukis area getting a sophomore 5’11 point guard that averaged 8.4 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game last season – he started 22 games as a freshman and shot 36% from beyond the arc.
