CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — An arrest warrant has been issued for a shooting suspect that Carbondale Police consider to be armed and dangerous.
23-year-old Stephen Moultrie is wanted for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon.
Around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Carbondale Police responded to the 700 block of South Lewis Lane after a report of shots fired and a vehicle crash.
At the scene, officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale with non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe Moultrie fired shots from a moving vehicle at another oncoming moving vehicle. Both vehicles crashed and Moultrie fled the scene.
