CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police have announced an arrest in connection to a July shooting.
In the early morning hours of July 25, Carbondale Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of North Washington Street. No one was hurt and no property damage was reported.
Jonquel Gaston, 23, of Carbondale was later identified as the person who fired the shots and an arrest warrant was issued.
In the early morning hours of August 24, Gaston was arrested by Carbondale Police in the 300 block of South Marion Street. He faced one charge of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
