HURST, Ill. (WJPF) – A traffic crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle is being investigated as a hit-and-run in Williamson County.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 11:00 p.m. Sunday along Illinois Route 149 in Hurst. The cyclist was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries; their name has not been released.
As of 11:00 a.m. Monday, the make/model of the vehicle involved remained unknown. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at (618) 997-6541.
