Two people face multiple charges in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – Two people face multiple charges after a traffic stop in Williamson County. 

On October 1 around 11:45pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop after watching a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations in Creal Springs.

The occupants were identified as James Long of Harrisburg and Andrea Bozarth of Creal Springs.

Long was discovered to have two outstanding arrest warrants and was driving while license suspended , and discovered to be a Felon unlawfully in possession of firearm ammunition.

The vehicle contained a large number of items including multiple car stereos with the wires cut, residential items, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.

Also found was a magnetic hidden compartment, known as a “hide a box”, attached underneath the vehicle.

The box contained multiple bags of methamphetamine and numerous smoking devices.  

Long was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use Of Weapon / Ammunition, False Or Secret Compartment, and multiple others.

Bozarth was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

They were both taken to the Williamson County Jail.
