Man facing multiple charges after traffic accident in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – One man faces multiple charges after stealing a vehicle in Williamson County.

Deputies responded to a single vehicle traffic accident on Dykersburg Road on the evening of November 11th.

Upon arrival, Deputies observed an inverted Ford F250 and identified the driver as Richard Colbroth.  

Colbroth stated that he lost control of the vehicle, failing to navigate the curve, left the roadway, rolled, and came to rest on the roof of the vehicle.

It was then discovered that Colbroth had a revoked driver’s license and the vehicle was stolen He was also found to be in possession of Methamphetamine.

Colbroth was cited for Possession Of A Stolen Vehicle, Methamphetamine Possession, Driving While License Revoked, Operating Uninsured Vehicle, Expired Registration, Failure To Reduce Speed To Avoid An Accident and Failure To Wear A Seatbelt

He was transported to the Williamson County Jail.
