MARION, Ill. (WJPF) – A man has been arrested on theft charges, accused of stealing telephone and internet transmission wires.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says Jakob Caldwell stole over $100,000 worth of wire, causing phone and internet service disruptions to thousands of customers across the region.
Caldwell was arrested on Tuesday in Marion. He faces charges of criminal damage to property, possession of stolen property, and theft of governmental property.
