Benton star forward Docker Tedeschi etched his name into Benton Ranger history Monday night with a huge performance against Roosevelt of St. Louis. En route to an 80-24 victory for the Rangers, Tedeschi set new records for both the Benton Rangers and the Benton Invitational.
Tedeschi scored 50 of Benton’s points, setting a new Benton school record for points scored in a game, passing JoJo Johnson who previously held the record with 47 points in 1991. That total is a new BIT record as well, which was also held by Johnson.
Tedeschi scored those 50 points on 21 made field goals – that’s another BIT record. That mark was last held by Meridian’s Roderick Gatewood Jr., who hit 18 field goals in 2023 against Sesser-Valier.
