Two arrested in narcotics raid

JOHNSTON CITY, Ill. (WJPF) — Another so-called ‘drug house’ has been closed for business by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4:00 p.m. Saturday, deputies raided the home on West 5th Street in Johnston City and found methamphetamine, related paraphernalia, packaging materials, and scales. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says the residence was known to have a history of drug activity and was the focus of a several months-long investigation

Two people inside the home were arrested on narcotics charges. Anthony Bantle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rebecca Pena was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
