SIU men’s basketball appears to be losing one of their top players to the transfer portal. The Portal Report is reporting Kennard Davis Jr. is entering the transfer portal.

Davis averaged 16.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game this season!

The 6’6 sophomore wing improved across the board in several statistical categories under Scott Nagy this past season.

Davis Jr. was a All-MVC 2nd team selection. He also entered the transfer portal last offseason after Bryan Mullins and SIU parted ways but ultimately decided to return to SIU.
Davis Jr. is one of multiple young Valley stars that are reportedly entering the portal. Others include UIC’s Javon Jackson and Valparaiso’s Cooper Schwieger.
The men’s basketball transfer portal officially opens on March 24th and closes on April 22nd.
