John A. Logan men's basketball forward Justin Cross spoke to Matt Varney on Tuesday morning about his preparations for this upcoming season and the team's season opener at Three Rivers this weekend. The Vols play Friday against Mineral Area (5pm) and Saturday against the host Three Rivers (7pm). Both games will be broadcast on 103.5 ESPN!

In SIU's 30-7 homecoming win over Western Illinois, he set a single-game school record for completion percentage (89.3%) and tied the school record for consecutive completions (15). As a result, Nic earned Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for the fifth time in his career.
