    LISTEN: Hickey stars at Illinois High School Shrine Game; Glover, Thomas, Dagg, Townsend talk game & representing Southern Illinois

    Multiple Southern Illinois athletes played this past Saturday at the Illinois High School Shrine Game, widely considered across the state as the All-Star game for high school athletes.  Johnston City senior wide out Corbin Hickey received the Offensive MVP award after a day that he caught 5 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown, despite his team taking an 11-7 loss.  Dustin Hill caught up with Hickey and many others after the game:

    Sportsvoice Podcast: The “Blonde Bomber” Jay Shidler talks new book, signing at Marion’s Cuss Wilson Gymnasium Wednesday

    Saturday Matt Varney and Dave McKenzie were joined by the the legendary "Blonde Bomber" Jay Shidler to talk about his new book, The Blonde Bomber, which details his life as a high school basketball star in Lawrenceville, his career at Kentucky which included a National Championship, and more.

    Shidler will be at Marion's Cuss Wilson Gymnasium on Wednesday at 5 P.M. for a book signing and to meet fans.

     

    LISTEN: Lee Nailon officially introduced to Carbondale

    New Carbondale basketball coach Lee Nailon had a meet-and-greet with Carbondale fans yesterday in his first public appearance as the Terriers' head coach.  Roger Medlen caught up with Coach Nailon to find out more about the new coach of the Terriers.
